Home and School Association (HSA)

The Home and School Association of Saint Joseph Regional Catholic School was created as a joint effort between parents and staff to give our students the best physical, mental, social and spiritual education possible. All families of the school are members, and we encourage others to join. This includes parishioners, alumni, and grandparents. The Pastors, the Principal and all faculty members are automatically members. This organization provides educational and fund-raising events for the benefit of the school and helps the Pastors and Principal in coordinating school events and projects. Meetings will be held on a regular basis.

Members of the Home and School Board for 2012-2013 are Peggy Santos, Kim Scheffler and  Erika Villegas.

Volunteer Policy

Volunteers have played a major role in Catholic education since the time when parishioners joined their efforts to establish the first Catholic Schools in America. The tradition of involvement has been strong and each year grows stronger as more people become involved in more kinds of activities. Volunteers are valued members of the Saint Joseph Regional Catholic School community. There are many opportunities to volunteer at Saint Joseph Regional Catholic School. Members of the Saint Joseph School Home and School Association (HSA) volunteer their time in the library, in classrooms as room parents, as coaches, special events coordinators, etc. Parents are also encouraged to volunteer their talents in the classroom by performing a number of auxiliary tasks. The principal is responsible for the total school operation; thus, the principal supervises all who serve in any capacity in the school.

Our goal is to have every family attend a VIRTUS training session. This is for the safety of your child, as well as all the other children attending our school.

You can visit VIRTUS Online by going to www.VIRTUS.org. You must sign up online to attend one of these sessions. Your attendance must be verified before you will be allowed to participate in our classrooms or to chaperone field trips. There will be numerous locations offering VIRTUS training for parents of children attending our Catholic Schools.
